Mudhoney and Screaming Trees are not even Alice in Chains's influences. They sound much, much different from all of the other grunge bands. Hell, they're not even that grunge as they are played out to be. They started out a glam rock band, and evolved into their own style aside from the pure grunge that was being played by Mudhoney and Screaming Trees.

I know this forum is about the opinions on music, but you still need to learn to respect others that are different from yours. You have to admit, our musical opinions are much different, and while I respect your musical opinions as I do everybody's, I still defend the music that you and others always bash ignorantly, even if I don't like that genre of music anyways. Remember when you said, "Drummer, why do you defend music like this"? It's because I know that one genre isn't dominant over the other.
I have left Toribash, but will drop in occasionally on the forums and IRC. Still in Sigma.

BUT... you must realize that some music is... bad, right? Right? Bad music is, by nature, bad. What should be done to stop bad things? In this case, bash them.

You are simply very opinionated and biased. Act more like a musician like you say you are.

Explain to me how I am biased. You can't just state that.

You have no appreciation for all music, only the music YOU like. I may not like all music, but I damn sure appreciate it.

That's one way of spinning it, but unfortunately that's not correct. I would tell you that I am not particularly fond of Crosby Stills Nash and Young and yet I appreciate and respect their influence and contribution to the global music catalogue. CSNY had something to offer, whereas bands and "artists" that I don't appreciate do not have anything to offer. Take Slipknot, for example. Tell me, what have they brought to the table? Anything? You can't honestly tell me that they've made an important contribution to music as a whole. I suppose you could call me a "Music Utilitarian".
