Hey, I'm not quite sure whether this would be better for gaming chat or rapid threads, since it's got a little bit of each in it.

Our family just got a PS3, and since I use a really weak network on my PC, the PS3 can't detect it. So I'm wondering if there is a way to download the PS3 demos to the PC and then transferring them to the PS3 on a flash drive.

I've searched on google a bit, but the results I got were kinda sketchy. Most posts were a year old and the sites they linked to were pay sites for the games.

I'm not very knowledgeable about PS3 stuff, so I'm asking if anyone here is good with them.

Nope...

You'de need to download it on PS3 to have it.
Your best bet is to get a better connection, if you intend to play online you'de probably get kicked for low internet connection even if it did work. imo get a good wireless connection, PS3 uses bluetooth so wireless = WIN.
If you can't get a better connection to download demo's try watching reviews, poor replacement but eh. Best site for reviews = http://xplay.com/
