I cant move my mouse when this happens, but all the other features work (like the ESC key.)

You can move the mouse. It's just invisible. (kinda)

The selection is wrong. to select setup, you have to move your mouse over Multiplayer. And so on.

I don't know how to fix it.

It's one of those annoying driver glitches with the software pointer. Generally ATIs suffer it, and on the odd occasion Intel X series users get it.

try changing the screen resolution to 800x600 ;)

or 1024x768

Or try to look in the ATI control panel and set the 3d image settings to Quality instead of Performance. That will probably get down some of your frame per sec, but might aswell fix your problem.

Also you can try playing with resolutions too, but the best one will be your background resolution.
