1. Was the seagull dead or alive?

Blind man probably liked seagulls. He ended up feeding one and the seagull poked his eye, blinding him.

If that seagull was alive, he probably planned on shooting the seagull (because of his hatred for seagulls) but ended up shooting the young man.
