For some reason, every time I try to start toribash, it immediately quits. And I don't think it is crashing, because my mac notifies me when an application has crashed. So... for some reason it just... quits?

That's because 3.8x is compiled for Intel Macs, 3.73 is the latest version for PPC

Have you tried a PC emulator? I have no clue if it would work, and Ive never used a Mac, but it might be something worth trying.
