Ranking system slightly broken?
I'm posting this because I'm REALLY surprised at what happened to my rank.

I was around 900 so when I went into the [who] Pipesliders server. I got a 20 win streak.* My rank is now around 5000.

What happened there? I only lost 3 or 4 times.

* If you don't believe me, witnesses include: Matthias, ShmdShadow, itachi, deagle11.

Well, the ranking system worked fine when there was about 50 active players . When word of mouth spread lots more people joined, and one win anywhere in the game can effect alot of people.. :x

Ishi is 100% correct. I have written many explanations on the forums before; the Elo rating system is intended for many people, yes, but not that many games. In most Elo rating situations, an individual might play under 10 games in a month.

I'm telling you, never look at a person's rank and care. Since its appearance it's done that and so there's no need to pay attention to it at all.

the who server being a clan server is on the asia side of thing makeing u a lower rank if u had click an american server eg. the judo right at the top ur rank would be different wins in the 2 different servers give u 2 sets of ranks

Oh, that makes sense. I must've been going between different hemisphere servers. Thanks.

The way I see it, this could be an indicator on a persons skills, rank-wise.

1-1000, probably a good player. (Or perhaps not.)
1000-10000, totally random. (oh yes.)
