Even if it IS a joke (which I am too lazy to do the research and find out) I dont think it would be that out of line, considering the general air of misogamy that permeates much of internet culture.

Kinda funny that this pissed you off enough to make a thread, or that you figured this troll would enrage people :P What's even funnier is that if it is a joke someone put all the effort forth to make it. Its not even that funny :/

You are missing the point of the joke. It says that this would be what was expected if the game was marketed to women. It is sarcastic and attempts to reflect how out of touch with women Microsoft (or any game company) is.

What? No.

They don't hire gaming nerds to market video games, they hire marketing teams. Retail and marketing are the bane of women everywhere. It is a personal choice to "cater for the men" - obviously for the goal of money as it is well established that women are grossly outnumbered by men in gaming.

If "that's the joke", then it's a terrible one with a huge amount of ignorance.

Yes, well, I never said it was funny, I just meant to try and explain it. That it shows a frustration over the fact that those marketing teams dont market to women, and if they did the person thinks they would get it wrong...i.e. the few games that have been marketed to women, or more specifically girls.

Personally I didn't laugh, but whatever.
