ive been thinkin about this topic now for a while and i really would like to have a serious discussion about this right here.
theres a book called like that, but im not shure if its available in other languages but german. in this book two old faggots (like 30 years old) recodnised that theres something wrong in this generation. alot of examples were analyzed by them, examples where you can just facepalm again and again.
1. do you know examples for this?
2. do you think you are one of this generation?
imo im one of this generation. not that much, because i read alot of books instead of watching stupid commics with bad language... and im good educated. i dont talk with people who dumb conversations down
example of what im talkin about:
weve got a local "miss universe" here in a part of germany. you might remember the sides, when germany was two-parted (talkin about german democratic republic in this case, aka DDR). the girl that won where asked to make a line on a black n white colored paper with germany drawn on it. the line should have been there where the border was. the girl just failed as you wount imagine ... than she were asked to mark our capital and she pointed with her finger somewhere in poland (i dont remember exactly)
^this is the perfect example of what happens to our generation

Actually I have to go for the kids right here at my hometown. I'm living in a old people area to be honest but there are some familys with way younger kids around. And instead of talking like normal people they scream away over all the houses if the kids are out. If you say something they are quiet for a day, next day they're as loud as the day before...
And no, I don't think that I'm a part of that generation. I'm like one of the wisest guys in our schoolclass. All other guys are like "YEA GETTING DRUNK THE WEEKEND AGAIN, YEA!!!" and most time they ask me to come with them. But then I'm like "No, cause I won't hang around with drunken guys that are always puking at me. I prefer a good conversation with some friends I'm skyping/teamspeaking with.". That might sound nerdy but it's like way better than getting drunk in my eyes. I mean everyday that I'm online I learn something new. I meet cool new people from other countries and all of that shit. I still go to parties and I still hang out with my friends and all of that but I'm not like a partywhore. Actually one of my best friends just realized that getting drunk is not everything. Now he goes out with his buddys on weekends but he's almost sober everytime. Seriously, I iz wise guy...

lol it's the same at my place, I've been high (but in all honesty it wasn't high = omfg zombie are eating my friends it was more like whoa O.O zoned out much?!) and drunk too, it was ok but it ended up making me feel like an idiot. so now im the sober driver 9 times out of 10

Exactly the same here.
We've got tons of 3-10 year olds running around here, and seriously, there is a family with a house with fucking 7 children and they still get more. I can see the girls getting some "Crunk-Bitches" or whatever and the boys getting
Mc-Donalds Waiters.
I mostly act like an ass in school, I am way more flippy and crazy and shit and piss people off to the max, but at home I can easily talk with them without any effort. I'm good at school. (2s and 3s mostly ; for you englishfgts, Bs and Cs) and I just got a 4 in maths, but I'm on the way up.
If I'm honest, I would call myself Generation Stupid. I am such a suckish kid sometimes, especcially to my friends in school. I yell at them, push them off the chair so I can sit, etc..
But the funny fact is, they do exactly the same.

but my father told me that they were alike when they were young.. not that extreme but still quite often drunk
i dont have any friend that knows and wants to talk about .. politics. its a big part of our social life but who cares that we have soldiers in iraq or that we are controlled bye webconnections, cameras, etc (there are alot more topics :P)
i allways buy 2 newspapers at the beginng of every month; SPIEGEL and FOCUS. i like to read the last topics about economy, politics, happenings
my friends, all of them, read satire-papers, filled with overacting and lies :c (bildzeitung natürlich)
