Anyways; why should we care? Building a town over already unstable ground just means that the probability of a sinkhole is much higher. Derpidy derp. Frankly, I live on the east coast of Florida, and I'm about three feet above sea level. You'd think I'd have reason to be scared of something like this, but I'm really not. Sinkholes (major ones like this, at least) are pretty rare unless you live in an area that has like torrential rain on a regular basis.
