The ground sinks and a hole is made.

Isnt it scary, this slum of a world is slowly, giving out.

Sink holes are natural phenomena that can happen anywhere on the surface over underground caves where the water flows.

You can watch a similar effect when you dig a hole on the wet sand on the beach... The water starts eating up the walls of that hole and it will eventually collapse, usually with a circular form.

Anyways; why should we care? Building a town over already unstable ground just means that the probability of a sinkhole is much higher. Derpidy derp. Frankly, I live on the east coast of Florida, and I'm about three feet above sea level. You'd think I'd have reason to be scared of something like this, but I'm really not. Sinkholes (major ones like this, at least) are pretty rare unless you live in an area that has like torrential rain on a regular basis.

Jesus Odlov, all of your comments make me laugh, and i applaud you for that. Anyways, Sinkholes almost never happen in urban areas because the makers of the town would not make cities on unstable ground.
