Secret Santa 2024

Philosophy, blah blah.
Ok, so because of a recent intox session, I have a series of questions and ideas that someone may have already addressed, you can contribute to, or possibly devalidiate. (not a word?) I wont post them all at once, it'll be over time.
Heres one:

We, as humans, are "aware". Aware of our existence, and able to ponder our own beginning as a species.

Are we more "'aware" than ants? Than chimpanzees? If so, is it possible that humankind can evolve to be even more aware than we are today? Are we as a species able to fathom a more extensive awareness? What could come with it?

Anyways, if none of that made sense, let me know. -_-
It's all a result of a mixture of Tool, Muse, and THC.

Thanks.
I think we can be more aware of our existence/how we came to be.

Over time we've developed tools and science that help us track back to almost our beggining, and other species begginings. So from how the learning curve goes, if we keep on advancing in technology and science i think it's only a matter of time for how much more aware we become.

As for animals, i think many animals are aware of their existance. Mainly because many of them have instincts that tell them when they need to reproduce more, or reproduce asexually when the population is low, like some lizards can do.

Are we more "'aware" than ants?

Sure, given our vastly superior brainpower.
Still, they are very sophisticated social insects:

Sophisticated intelligence/awareness isn't a "goal" of evolution. It has none, really. There are numerous species which thrive without having any brain, let alone one as complex as ours. Bacteria, for example.

What I am sure will happen, though, is that we will make ourselves smarter through technology, without hoping that natural selection will favor the smartest of us over millions of years. We have so much power now that we can afford impatience ;)
