I've been wondering how to snap off your own tori's head like Nuthug did in his replay in the 3.9 verson of Toribash. The replay is called 'headpass' (one of my favorites). I was also wondering what kind of gravity setting would be used here. I always wondered how self-decaps were done.

Offtopic: Also wondering speaking of gravity. What is a legit (or the most commonly used) gravity setting for doing a madman? I'm sure there is a tutorial somewhere but I can't seem to find it at the moment.

NutHug usually does replays in 0.00 0.00 -30.00 gravity. Taking your head off can be achieved by grabbing the your head while your elbows and wrist (optional) are contracted. Next you'd want to extend your elbow yet leave your wrist contracted. It takes some working to play with the joints, but it works eventually.

-Madmans are usually done in the default gravity, but it doesn't matter.

If you think you won't spaz around too much, you can try lowering the dismemberment, or turning self-damage on.
Although this is generally frowned upon under the replay makers.

do not need gravity can you use the normal gravity (judo gravity or classic).
Toturial:

Relax all
Contract both knees
Space (40 frames)

Xtend both knees
Contract both pecs


And now you have a decap!

You can just open his replay and press the "E" Key on your keyboard before his head comes off to see how he does it. Hope this helps.

well, NutHugs self decap was because if a simple whiplash equation. simply meaning he head that upward velocity and if you noticed his head went back, but when his legs caught on the ground his head couldnt withstand the force, and therefore whiplash dismembered. does this answer your question. <--------
