Ok does anyone know how to make a screen saver? Would it be possible to make one that played random toribash replays from your replays folder at a set camera angle as your screen saver

There probably is a way, but I'm not experienced with that type of stuff. On the other hand, if you are interested in making your flash files into screen savers, this site does it for free.

Actually, having replays as a screen saver might counteract the concept of a screen saver.

RbLck, Not really when the computer has not been interacted with for the set amount of time the replays would roll and the world could see the carnage.

:o I like the idea of Toribash replay screensaves - quickly, someone make one.

A Windows screensaver is basically a program with a few extra commands thrown in.

The only person I know who can make this screensaver is Hampa or someone else with the Toribash sources. You then have to strip out all the multiplayer, settings, menu, etc and just have to play random replays (and all things associated, like mods). Then, you have to build in a settings menu for the screensaver, a preview creator and some screensaver clear stuff (move mouse, press key, etc).

Cool idea tho.

Hmmm Torilaunch already selects random replays and plays them. what if that was used and when it launched the toribash it would just disable the menu and editing keys. then we could link that as the screensaver

if you have flash, just save it as html and chose it from desktop propertys

but arent the replay files .rpl and not .swf or .fla?

Maybe an indea for the next version, for registered users yes?
