There should be a reason next to it and it should be a link to what it is for.

Points are pretty much the severity of the infraction..The worse thing you did, the more points you get. After you get so many points you get a ban.

Getting an infraction point means you were infracted by a moderator. If you get a certain amount of infraction points you get a ban. Also, where the infraction is it should say how many points its worth, the reason why you received the infraction, A link to the thread where you got infracted, and the person who infracted you at the end.

That's not how it works.
Moderators can or
Ban, or infract, or warn.
Infraction adds up to your "infraction points" which may expire.
The higher amount of points you have, the less you'll be able to do on the forums, and some points may never expire.

Although, I don't know what amount of points does what.
