i can run crysis on 1920x1200 w/ everything on high and its smooth, this gives me 8 fps D;

fullscreen also doesnt work, but thats not the priority anyway.

please help guys, toribash is awsim and i dont want to have to run it on my old machine (runs at 40fps or something)

Try lowering the 3D settings to Performance on your Video cards control panel. It should get you about 30 extra fps, but it will somewhat massacre your graphics.

that doesnt make sense i think, it should be running at high ass fps right?

It SHOULD be running 60fps with your card.

If you can run Crysis smoothly on your computer, you should easily be able to get 60 fps with Toribash.

Sometimes its just a setting on your tray for your graphics card that does not perform some games to the max,

I suggest just play around with your graphics card settings and it should work once its set right

Anyone else running a quad-core with TB? The graphics card wont kill your fps like that. Check out your temps on the card and cpu.

its running on four cores it seems, nothing special though. no big spikes or something...

I dont think its the temp, its a setting somewhere or another

another thing defrag your pc that might give you like +1 frame

What settings do you use when playing Toribash ?

e.g.: resolution , shaders, fluid blood, reflections, etc.
