So I need to scan some stuff for school but I can't scan it...
I got an HP Photosmart which is able to scan, print and make copies. Everything works fine except when I press scan on the printer itself a window pops up on my macbook saying it's impossible to scan because another program is using my printer. This is not true. So after that I decided to start the scan from my macbook. I can do this with the software called HP Scan. It first needs to find my printer before I can select it and scan something with it. So when it's trying to find my printer which is connected by USB it isn't able to find anything! This is very odd... Maybe you guys can help me out!

Try the 'Scan Diagnostic Utility' and tell me if it works.

I searched for the utility but I can't find it... Do you know where to find it?

-Make sure is a safe page to download.
