HDMI border+ fuzziness
k, so i bent the pluggy bit on my other cable and need to use my HDMI for now.
and now im stuck with the border and fuzzi issues.
using an ati 5770 so i did the whole scaling thing in the control catalyst, but when i scale it down to 0%, the screen goes past the borders of my moniter, so i cant see the x, my browser tabs or start menu. but the fuzziness is MOSTLY gone, but its still not as crisp as it is when i use my DVI or whatever its called cable.
then when i scale it down to where it fits most(cus nothing scales perfectly it seems) my text is blurry and naturally, i dont want that.
changing the resolution to 1080p mostly fixxes the fuzziness(again, dvi cable > hdmi) but drops the res down to 1240x1080 (doesnt make much sense)
the catalyst only goes up to 1680 res.
changing the res in windows makes it larger than the monitor
etc
someone tell me what im doing wrong
edit: gotten round it with a HDMI - DVI converter which i found lying around, yay for the random shit you find around the house.
still need to know how to fix this, i plug my pc into the tv too often to sit with this problem...
