Police tasering a man who's not resisting?

I usually don't really care about police officers, but this is just stupid.
This man, gets tasered for not resisting by police, and it is so bad that he dies 7 days later for all the injuries.

I really hope that some day stricter rules will be applied for when they hire new officers. It really is sad to see officers abuse their power, but also to kill someone in the middle of it? Aren't those officers criminals instead of the man being tazed?
What are your guys thoughts on this?

Exactly. I want to know why other higher in command officers don't care about this. That's really bothering me.

Only thing Im gonna say is there are always some bad people in every group. You cant stereotype all police like this.

Mhh... before this turns into a shitfest of "A.C.A.B. slurs"...

I feel sorry for three parties here. The homeless guy, his parents and all the good cops out there.
Those brutal "highschool quarterback" cops fail at representing the law and
they fail at serving the community and protecting it.

The sad thing is, that they will probably get away with it, or , if they get punishmennts, the punishments
will not be hard enough.

Police punishments tend to get off pretty lightly for these kinds of things, but that's usually because the department realises the officer in question will be most likely;

A) Be given a custodial sentence
B) Have their livelihood destroyed by the family of the victim sueing
C) Never, ever, get a job again.

Sometimes reading the entire thing helps,

"Two officers were suspended shortly after the attack but police will not confirm if it was related to the 37-year-old's death."

Pretty fucked up honestly, considering they are saying beating him to a bloody pulp wasn't the cause of his death, and it was related to his illness. He went into a coma and died a few days after. He would more than likely still be with us if nothing happened that night.

"Fullerton police Sgt Andrew Goodrich said that Thomas began to fight officers as they tried to search him.
He said: 'We don't know why he was so combative and resistant to the officers, but it took upwards of five to six officers to subdue him.'"

Firstly, that guy is a fucking moron. Obviously the guy had mental illnesses, and if his illness was so bad that he was resisting like that, they should have known right off the bat that he was sick. It definitely had something to do with the officers, and I don't care what anyone else says, that shit was pure bullying and those guys need to serve time. I mean come on, the victim died over something with could have been very minor in a lot of cases.

"He said police are conducting an internal investigation into the officers' actions and the District Attorney's Office is conducting a criminal investigation."

I'm glad about this, at least. Hopefully some justice will be done. I have a few friends I've met online who are cops in real life, and they have told me about stuff like this happening where a cop just decided to abuse his power and go out of control.



Aside from that, this happens everyday, mostly it's just not that bad. Sad story though

It couldn't have been an illness. If any you guys look at his face afterwards, I can't see that he died from an illness.
