Someone shot at the cops, the bullet hit a cop in the radio on his chest(saved his life etc), so they shot back and killed the dude.
I did read in the bbc page, that The Times said that the killed civil was already reduced in the floor, and he was shot, unarmed.
The inconsistences in the different versions are a lot, like in almost everywhere.
