Steve Jobs
Steve Jobs, the guy who enhanced the world of technology has died at the age of 56 due to cancer.
He was the co-founder and former executive of the US company 'Apple'.
Also recognised for his products: iPod, iPhone and the iPad.
I see him as a computing genius and i'm saddend for his death.

If you want know more 'Click me'.

What are your thoughts on this? In my opinion it's a big deal for he was the main reason why Apple is what it is now.

What impact will his death have on apple?

we rub a mexican monkey
as am i truly sad, this could be a big problem for apple who will take over this marvellous mans job? who will produce the ipad3? who knows this could be the death of apple
It's a shame all right, true visionary. But let's use this thread to discuss the impact this will have on Apple as a company and its competitors. Keep the RIP posts to a minimum, I don't mind you showing your respect, but do so in a format fit for Discussion. Or I'll be forced to close the thread. Thanks.
I think that now we will finally be able to see how big a presence Jobs truly had within Apple. I predict we will either see another big Apple personality, or we will not really see anything amazing.

Right now Apple is probably wishing they had not built themselves in to a cult of personality. Or perhaps they plan to make him in to some kind of martyr figurehead?

That is way too harsh isn't it? Traditionally we have allowed threads like this just out of respect at the very least...

Sidenote: this topic is getting a LOT of attention on /b/ and /g/

Fee says: We now have Off-Topic, which already has a thread to pay respects. I have the utmost respect for Steve Jobs and what he has contributed to his industry. However, that is no reason to use this board for a purpose it was not designed for when you have a perfect alternative (Off-Topic).

There is already a thread.

Apple just created and manufactured technology. Nothing revolutionary. This is just simply a normal man put on a high pedestal.
R.I.P Steve Jobs
I R IRONMAN
but apple will never be the same again without this guy, wat do u guys think will happen to the apple industry??
I honestly dont think that Apple needs him in order to be awesome like they are now

im sure he already taught all the important stuff to his staff and they know how he wants to do things

they learned alot from him and they will carry on hes legacy and we will continue to recive awesome stuff like ipads xD
