Is their a way i can get the default head as a flat so i can edit it?

Yeah. If it's the tori head you're talkin' about then I know how. Go to Toribash, open custom folder and go to tori then edit his head text.

Wont work trys to open with photoshop and i dont have it.

Try paint or GIMP or type /dl tori.

Paint cannot handle TGA format as far as i'm aware, Gimp and better ones will do the trick.
