Terrible frame rate in menu screens
I have a somewhat odd problem. I will begin by saying that my laptop can run this game no problem, the only things i don't have selected in the options are Ray Tracing and Bump Mapping, because i don't like how they look. My problem lies in the menu itself. Whenever i enter a menu, be it Matchmaking, be it Shader, be it any menu, the frame rate dips to about 2 per second. I have not tested with Fraps on to see exactly how many frames per second there are, but saying that i can count them in the palm of one hand is a vast understatement.
These are the specs of my laptop:
Intel Core i5 2450M 2.40 GHz,
4 GB RAM,
Radeon 6470M HD graphic card,
Windows 7 operating system.
Clearly, my laptop can run Toribash, and suffice to say that i don't believe that such a low frame rate during the menu is anything that is done on purpose.
I would like some help here, because i really can't see what could fix this issue.
To find out exactly how low your frame rate drops, don't go fullscreen and watch the top of the window. It should tell you how much it drops(watch fps at the top). It would be helpful to know how low it actually drops to This will make it easier to solve the problem
I hate living in Texas -_-
You mean in the first screen with menu on top while the replays show beneath.
Yep, same problem I have, but I'm on Win XP and my computer specs are bit higher then yours. But after I get into sub-menu its ok...
Its 8 fps in the first screen, then 30 in others.
I've got the exact same problem when running the versions with the red menu on Windows XP. It's unbearable...

EDIT: I found out how to fix it (at least for me)
Go to your windows control panel, open up "Display"
Then open the tab "Settings"
Click "Advanced"
Open the tab "Troubleshooting"
and maximize Hardware acceleration.

I don't know if that's correct german - english translation or if it's the same on vista and 7. This is for XP.
