I see no potential issues with this suggestion.
Save some complaints from Thorn, general complaining from the community about Thorn's lack of TC, people sending Thorn their TC after acquiring it illicitly and using Thorn as a bounce account which would actually have some advantages, or the complaints about it not being firebolty.
So, really, there's no reason not to implement it, right?
