you put alot of effort into it and overall it looks good.
not a fan of the colours, the pink seems out of place
the darks need some more DARK dark colours and more contrast to make the pink work, even some white highlights going into the larger pink areas to make it pop some.
generally wouldnt have even thought to have used pink, it just doesnt add to it at all.
personally would have moved toward picking up on the greens used in there, or yellows or something a little softer.
i dont like how the technique isnt experimental, the abstract method may be experimental for you, but the technique itself looks like old faithfull.
each shape/line/area of colour seems too small, would have liked to have seen more varied sizes of brushes and more confident brush strokes and blending.
a bit wishy washy with the application on a canvas this big.
looking at the brushstrokes it looks more random than abstract, nothing decisive, nothing looks intentional
no visual cue to indicate whether or not you thought how the colours interact or are layered, too many questions about "why didnt you do this or that?"
doesnt quite feel solid on the intellectual field.
love the layering, but dont love the flow of the layers, on the smaller scale, everythings directional, but nothing works with layers above and below it
the visual result is decent, but the finer points lack the attention to detail that it needs, and for something that people would be sticking on their walls, that attention to detail is a big thing.
in the end though, if that was on my wall, im not sure what Id think about it.
because each stroke seems random, because you leave questions unanswered, and with my overthinking and a need to find something figurative in everything, a need to find that structure, to prove that even things intentionally random, follow some structure.
i might find myself consistantly going back and staring at it, to find that something figurative.
which would mean success on your end, evoking a personal response.
I dont know if I like it or dislike it, the flawed technique is made up for by a personal response.
Its been far too long since I last spent time looking at traditional art, thankyou
