Divorce
I just found out about a half hour ago that my parents are getting a divorce. Is anyone else' parents divorced? Can anyone give me any advice? If you aren't going to post in a mature manner, don't post, please. Any answers or wishes of good luck would be appreciated.

Mine aren't divorced but they're technically separated - still living in the same house out of convenience & financial reasons.

It was a nightmare growing up, and it still is just visiting. Sometimes although it might not seem it at the time it's for the best that people split.

I have however been on the other end of the stick, and it was horrible seeing my children leave with their mother (I'd caught her cheating so she left me for him). I just hope my son & daughter understand when they're older.

Thats tough, my parents were going through spot, lotsa yelling and shit. I and my brother were sure they were going to get divorced. But they didn't, something i am awfully glad for. Ehm, I do have a point in all of this.

It sucks. And my only advice is, talk to your parents.
I'm really sorry to hear about this. I've never experienced this firsthand, because I grew up fatherless.
If your little brother knows about this, he might be really torn up about it. If you see that he isn't handling it very well. You'll have to be a "pillar" for him.

He who was the butt of the joke reserves no right to say "that wasn't funny."

Mine were never married, but they separated when I was about 1year old. Tbh, it was hell as a kid because of their hostility towards eachother. When dad was going to move to Spain, I had to meet some old ladies asking me "who did I like the most, mom or dad" and stuff like that. But you get used to it, really. If they aren't happy with eachother then they shouldn't be with eachother.

All you can do is try to is try to make it through the worst and hope it gets better (it usually does)
Now with 100% less angst
Yeah, thanks for the advice, but I don't think I will ever be mad at them for this, they can't really help not getting along.

Side note: I'm 17 and my brother is 13

He actually dealt with it alot better than I did, Guv.
