My Wishlist for Hampa ...
since there is so many Santa imposters out there theese days, i dont trust that guy no more :3

1. a new damage/points-system! because the momentary one just doesnt feel right for a fighting game. i dont understand the underlaying code structures but i think a short damage timeout after a clean hit could fix this ridiculous high points gained by just rubbing hands and feet on your oponent
2. -.- ...a dojo for wushu ....its a fighting game not freeroaming GTAWhiteout. nuff said
3. a new toribash! dont get me wrong, i still think that toribash is one of the best game concepts that are out there and i tryed quiet a few in my gamingcareere wich is now more than 20years ^^

i feel like that is time for changes and since you are going with this steam/greenlight stuff and all that advertising to atract more players i think it would be a good idea to add some new stuff like it was done with the wii version of tb for example(2 different joint speeds) this realy made a big differnence in movement options.
also, while we start tb from scrach, we could add things like:
4. cloths (could be a new tc source for nabi =P).
5.more realistic weapons/weapon-mods. maybe achievable or buyable ones or choosable before match starts (stuff like swords,staffs, baseballbat,leadpipe^^ twinsabres, nunchuks and if the coders feel fancy enough i could imagine even guns)
6. instead of 1000 different mods there could be stages like in good old beatemups(maybe with deathtraps and such for stuff similar to finishingmoves in MK or even breakable enviroment)
7. instead of pointsdisplay an energybar would ad to the thrill of a battle and sometimes shorten matches a bit. also the bar could be related to qi/ki achived or even the belt, like say the higher the belt the more energy.....yaya i know that this would seem unfair in public rooms but then again higher belts could have their intense matches amongst themselfes while lower belts would learn faster ^^
8. combos wich decrease the new energybar slightly higher with every (clean) hit within a given period of frames, like maybe add 10% per next hit to the damage calculation or something like that(some fancy onscreen bling bling particles related to the combo so it gets harder to go on because the attackers sight on his tori decreases with every next combohit)
9. an openingsequence for battles that are edited by each player himselfe like all other fighting games have for each character(50-100 frames)
10. along with the sequence an openingstance (some dude wrote it somewhere else) could be limited by mod/room management if it comest to official/public matches with close engage distance no need for the ones with more distance, for its opener-alike and opener dont guarantee a win. or the sequence and the stance could be combined like do sequence for walk in (or whatever) and speed at the end needs to be 0 and this makes for the stance
11. customisable toris. for example shorter = quicker,higher = stronger with more mass but slower , fater = more endurance, thinner = less weight (higher jumping)
could be related to account or adjusted by sliders.
12. also, i support snakes with the grab-stuff realy never liked the glueish hands mods id prefere the grabbing as grabbing in reallife but as it is with the pointssystem grabbing someone ends one up with less points than the grabbed one or maybe only inside of the hands could grab could be a short therm solution.

........ well i could go on and on and on with what would/could be possible with a new tb. but im hungry now =P
anyhow on my part i would gladly give up my items, qi, tc (lol wich i dont have) to start from scrach again with a newer tb wich feels more arcade-like . how about you guys ?

1.That makes no sense.

3.Joint Speeds, When your fighting the speed your joint moves at does variate.
4.So clothes? These has been suggested, got turned down because "PC's couldn't support it."
5.You can design these using the mod creator but good luck making it realistic.
6.Would be cool but this is a turn based game so that will take a long time to do.

8.Energy bar, well maybe a health bar which changes your speed of movement but an Energy Bar is kind of useless. (Energy Bar Pun).
9.That would be cool actually. Like a frontflip or something to show your skill, I like that, if it is kept from 100 to 50 frames.
10.This got turned down because this game has become more of a competition than a "fun game", people play as if their lives depend on it.
11.I like that idea but it would make the game less fair and as I said, this game has become more of a competition.

1.You cant change the current point system. You would need pretty much everybody who goes in game to agree with you on this.
2.Just set up a server with your friends play there and a TC penalty is just a bad thing to add. You use your hands and feet for stability most of the time and to not get disqualified.

7.It is a hard choice to just one day change the whole point system to health bars. Maybe it is not a hard choice for you but the moderators must make sure to please everybody with what they do.

1 - The point system isnt all that bad. Fast strong kick = more points. I do notice it needs some roughing out.
2 - Thats a mod you/ someone else can make. Easily. And one good thing about wushu is freedom.
3 - If you want a new toribash, then make a new game. The toribash right now is perfectly fine. Dont fix whats not broken.
4 - clothes seem nice but restricting. Would kinda render body textures useless. Seems like another thing for me to /opt.
5 - Would reallyyyyy change the game. Maybe a gamemode where you can do that, but if you could use weapons every fight, it wouldnt be toribash.
6 - Not that sure what you mean there...
7 - One drawback of your plan... I can do a sleepout. Just let the "newbie" use all of his "energy" and i can just run around in circles.
8 - Combos might be nice, but it sounds like you are trying to make a new game.
9 - Not sure what you mean again :c
10 - That might be nice and harmful. Ex: In aikido you can set up your "opener sequence as a shovel move and shovel even faster.
11 - nope nope nope nope. One good thing about toribash is its completely fair and even on both sides (same goes with number "7 -", above). Theres no one set up beats another set up.
12 - Only the palm being able to grab seems nice. I do like the regular grab system as of now though.

Long story short: I like toribash how it is now, and you sound like you want a new game in general.

Note: Most of my statements are based off opinions.
Toribash is made so that everyone is on the same level, no upgrades, game changing features that make winning easier or any of that shit you posted about weapons in every match.
Items, as we know them or either entirely cosmetic or plain useless with no other purpose but to be collected and/or used to show off with, usually just so you can say "I have enough money to buy x." Much like an iPhone.
Also, clothes much like shockey said, would be restricting and retarded. Most likey, tori's body would just glitch through clothing and/or hide joints/body parts, rendering textures useless.

To the rest, tl;dr.
Skimmed through what shockey said and by the looks of it, they're just as bad as the ones I commented on.

Quit Game.
These are all really bad ideas for a game like toribash, which actually requires balance for user skill to mean anything. All of this sounds like a capcom vs marvel mashup where people start shooting ki balls at people and other nonsense. Once enough time has been put in to learn how this game actually works, wushu's infinite space doesnt mean much as you can come back to them, or them to you. As well, you can take someone apart quite easily without a combo bar kamehameha, or whatever you mean. Most of these would make this game a lopsided heap where impossibly overpowered, over-equipped "pros" wreak havoc over less prepared noobs.

And on the point of starting over. Of course, when not much has been put in to what exists already, someone will want to dash it all and start again without hesitation. With a reset, thousands of very real dollars would be obliterated into nothingness, and that's something that takes a lot of time and effort to accrue. That would be screwing over all of the old, committed players to try something completely unfamiliar and untested.

i am just trying to get my opinion across.... as i said, im a hardcore gamer and would strongly apreciate some changes wich would turn toribash a bit more dynamic and atractive fore the more casual gamer ( if i might call em so), in no way id like to see toribash unbalanced or something like that. and it would be a masterpiece if what i suggested would be turned true with a balance that kept us serious tb players migrating to a new tb. geez infact im a bit frighten by your fear to advance to something new that by your help and ideas could be managed to be something as great as this game but with a new look. i never said id like weapons everytime or similar.... but a realy realy realy realy great game beeing altered to the level im able to imagining .. could turn out awsome , dont u agree??
