man that sucks i might be that its going out. check whether the CPU fan spins when you turn the computer on. to do so, put your ear to the case of the CPU. If you hear a humming noise. If, for some odd reason, the fan is not running, your CPU will overheat and the computer will refuse to turn on until the CPU cools down. if you smell a like umm i don't know how to describe it lol, some part of your computer (mostly your motherboard) might have burnt out. It will need to be replaced.
after that try to open your case and unplug the fan make sure the powers turned off
