I've been trying to make "funny" art for some time but I just can't do it.
It always comes out too serious or just ugly.

Most of the time I get angry when I see "ugly" art, therefore I conclude that this isn't "ugly" but plain funny.
That's hard, be proud!

I'll have to agree with Alpha on this one. Your style is really funky, yet funny/amusing. I think that you could make something "Cyanide and happiness" inspired, or just plain short stories just with your own original characters.

A suggestion which could make a difference in your art, probably a big change, is changing the use of the "brush" to the "pen tool". You'd get much cleaner lines and not such jagged circles, shapes etc. But ofc, it kind of adds character to the drawings so it's not necessary.

I would use more contrasted colors though, take the snails shell i.e. The shell is quite hard to part from the BG since they're both dark.

That strange person who doesn't know how to use a knife makes me cringe... Think about the scraping sound of a sharp knife against your teeth, jesus...

I disagree and think he should do whatever he wants.
If he switches to the pentool his art will look so much more cleaner, I think that will break off a large bit of his chaotic funnyness (is this a word, nope but I don't care) and that would be a shame.

Your advice on colours is alright, I agree.
