Hello all, I haven't been around here in forever, and my little brother just got into the game so I've sort of been lurking around lately whilst helping him get started.
In 2009, my PC totally crashed and I lost everything, it was back in version 3.7 I believe, and I lost all of my custom texture sets with that hard drive; many I purchased, many I created myself, and a one-of-a-kind that I bought from someone who won a competition, if I remember correctly. I was only able to recover one of these texture sets from the 3.9 custom folder (I tried to play during 3.9 just for old times sake, therefore the last set I had applied happened to be in the custom folder).

My question is, is there any way to recover these texture sets? The only thing I can think of would be to download older versions of toribash and they'd possibly be in my custom folder for those versions, but I've no idea where to download those.

The best option is to post this in rapid threads. Someone might have it. Just give some references.

As for the original poster, there's no real way to recover your old textures if the computer you have them on his been wiped or replaced. Perhaps if you uploaded it to an image hosting service you could recover it but if you didn't then you're out of luck.

It's always been Tiebasher. I remember one of the sets was shaman and azurite colored i think, another one I had was acid colored. I believe most of them had my name incorporated into it somehow. Then I finally switched to my current one (well, current since before version 3.9 lol) which is styled and colored rather like my avatar. I'd be very grateful if you found them for me! I'd love to give you toricredits for it since I really have all the items I want, but I don't have any since I havent been around TB for so long.

If you remember the names of those who you bought the set(s) from, you can ask them if they still have the files. I know there are some people, myself included, who keep sold sets in a "not owned" folder on my computer on the off chance that the buyer has a similar problem to yours. You may want to check with them just in case they have kept everything.

They're all sets made by BenDover, is he even around anymore? lol
I'll contact him if the custom folder thing doesnt work out. I'm pretty sure he kept a lot of it though so that'll be my next step for sure.
