Most of them would either cease to function, or go back to their original state. So, if you look at that aspect of society's reliance on computers, we're pretty dependant on them. For instance, the result of computers being taken away from us would be catastrophic. No doubt about that.


Another aspect that I made earlier is that we put too much focus on computers. Rather than walking out to a library, people will stay at home and rely on their computers. Some people have already made the point that it's quicker and easier to gain information from their PCs, which is true in most cases, but it's easy for me to see a future where this reliance on computers will become insufferable.
