I bought some items that I can't hold because of qi requirement and I guess there is a rule about not being able to sell something if it isn't in your inventory. So do I really have to play 3400 more matches before I can sell my items or is there any way I can validate that I do own items that are with a member in my clan?

You can sell the item even if it's in a holder.
