For christ's sake, No more brown belt-
The people who apply are noobs. Houtz, you let a green belt/blue belt in the clan. Bad houtz. No brown- from now on, I will not stand to see Evil become a noob clan.
Hoss.
yea green and blue belts are too low to be admitted. Brown belts are iffy, but some brown and black belts can be very skilled and respectful. There are a few discussions about this scattered through our forum

but definitely don't recruit anyone if you know they arent good at fighting, respectful, and/or active in the forums.

I faced the same problem on my old clan, too many lower belts were applying. i got annoyed so we set a belt limit to join, the limit was 2nd dan and higher.

Maybe we should do a belt limit like that.
I eez tiggeh. I rukx ;U
I don't mean to boast, and I admit I am a noob, but BlackRozez and I were only blue belts at the time we joined, and we weren't exactly the worst players around.
I agree with OK9.

Read my words: SCREW BELTS. We only go for skill, don't go around thinking a player is bad just because they have a blue belt. The time Killzonex was in the clan he was only a brown belt but he beat me and another guy that was helping me test him in judo. I mean come on guys belts just show how long you play, I was a blue belt and I could own anyone in judo. Even bRuCiA yesterday told me I was probably the strongest 4th dan in the whole game. I mean you guys are being prejudice.

As recruiters you all should be willing to test ANYONE if they ask to join. I do it and if they fail I just tell them they can't be in. Then if they persist I kick them out the server.

I'm sure houtz wouldn't let a green or blue belt in if the reasons were he was their friend or he was nice. I'm sure he let them in because they were skilled.

I mean like BigNarb (or maybe it was someone else?) he was a brown belt and the lowest belt in the clan but he knew exactly what he was doing and he was pretty good at judo.

It's not bad you let low belts in the clan. It's bad you guys are jerks and ignorant to all the low belts just because they have low belts.

So no it doesn't look bad for the clan that you guys let low belts in. It's bad for the clan you guys judge books by their covers. Well no I don't think you should. I think you guys have a duty to test anyone if they ask or even test the people in the "Joining Evil" thread.

hellooo?

nah jk, now bing serious...
i think, as i read upper, that the ETC is dead, and this could be a good solution for this..
cos this: we wont let skilfull low belt pple out of the clan, but half clan (i think) disagree with the idea of having a "brown" belt... i shall remember that i became Evil being a brown too...(yes, in the worst times of Evil, but its the same)...and now im a 4th dan, respected one (i think so xD) and i think that some of this was cos im on Evil... i say, if i werent in any clan at my 2nd dan, i perhaps would be now at that 2nd belt... but being on a clan gave me more...self-convincement that i was in trhe right way... and that helps lot...
if we could do that with other Brownies it would be great... and having a Training club could make low belts maximize their skills... so when they reach the blackbelt, they can be awesome players(trained)...

NOTE: green/blue belts are pple who was playin for a week or two... i think in THAT case to be carefull, cos it isnt the same "compromise", or they can like the game today and dislike it tomorrow...
IMAO, we have to be very careful, and if houtz thik that, i agree cos i know houtz is is one of the most respected members of Evil, and he wants the best for this clan, and , so, he should know what he does...
and, if u count the number of posts of Loachflava, i can say that my firsts posts on forums were in this forum only... and they actually are in here almost all...
ah, and about the luckness of Judo, ninja, i can say that i wont let a player in testing in judo unless he can survive all a match with me, or make it hard to me, hfe shows good moves, i can say that if he win me in the first move with the opener, its useless for me, cos it doesnt show any skils for me... i only want to know what they do at certain moments of the fights, their desicions, etc... do u understand?

yes, my inet is f*ckd up today... i perhaps will be specin if i see some of u online (i hope i can be alright for tha war...)

well said good argument. (Tinerr I was a 4th dan before you xD)

anyways. I think you guys are disagreeing with me and the people that say it should be fine to have low belts in the clan. But really belts just show how long you've played. Plus I understand that if someone is a black belt then they probably have more experience but that doesn't necessarily mean they have more skill. We really don't know if a, let's say an 8th dan, quit the game for 3 months and then wanted to join Evil. Odds are he lost his skill during those 3 months he hasn't played. But that's just what I'm saying. You don't know someone's skill unless you test them. It's like a book, you look at the cover and you think the title may say it all. But then you read it and you may see it's a totally different thing than you expected. The same applies to here, we can't look at all the black belts and gaurantee they have the skill to be in the clan. Because they could have left the game for a few months then come back rusty. Or they could even have bought the qi with the qi boosters. So I'm saying we should be willing to test anyone that wants to join, I'd prefer it if their were 2 recruiters to test the person, so we can see if they have the skill to join Evil. You shouldn't be ashamed if we have low belts in the clan and they totally rule the game. You should be ashamed if someone recruits a low belt who doesn't even know what he's doing.

Plus all of this game is luck if you think about it. You have no idea what your opponent may do unless you're psychic or something or if your opponent uses the same move over and over. But even at that he could catch you off guard and kill you. You should really see how long the fight takes or if they know what they're doing after the first move. You should see if they can even keep themselves from disqualifing or if they can still give a good fight after they've been split.

I trust all the recruiters to recruit everyone they think is worthy. But I do not want recruiters taking in recruits just because they have a 10th dan.

I have one tip,
Dont Test In Judo.
judo is all luck, test them in classic, something that doesent give them an advantage to win.
Or else this clan will become noobie.
[eVo]|Order of Taekkyon|2007
I really don't understand how judo is luck. I can name many reasons on how it isn't about luck. Plus if you say judo is luck then basically all the classic mods like wushu and aikido are luck. Heck you could say this game is nothing but luck.

So before you say something is about luck you should explain HOW it's only based on luck instead of repeating something you heard.

And don't let this change in topic allow you to drift away from the main discussion.
