Every time I walk into someone else's lobby. The players are out, literally. Every time, every day. Either they miss the first move, my Tory hits them or grabs them and they're out. What the fuck is this?

That's you joining private lobbies that people are afk in. Public lobbies or lobbies with more players are usually not all afk.
