HTOTM: FUSION
Well, I know how you feel. Ive had 2 of my dogs taken away from me.

My 1st one, Dakota, was a Siberian Husky. She was a pretty good dog, but she had seizures often. The pills she took made her pretty angry/temperamental, and she bit my brother and had to be put to sleep. I had her from when i was born to like 7 years old.

More recently, maybe 5 months ago, I got another dog, Sasha. She was a Black Lab German Shepard Mix. She was a very very nervous dog. She was scared of everything, and everyone, except for me. I loved her to death. But she always went to the bathroom in the house. Once she became less scared of my other Dog, Abby, she wanted to "assert her dominance". According to the vet. Because they were 2 females etc.. So Sasha was biting Abby, and they kept fighting, and we had to get rid of Sasha. I was devastated.

From personal experience, I believe that Death is much easier to handle, and comprehend then loss. When Dakota died, sure i cried, but I got over it sooner, maybe because of my age, but it was easier. When I lost Sasha, I cried some, not as much, but I felt horrible. And i still do feel bad, because you have to wonder if they got a new home. Because Sasha was my baby, I was like her father. And she was taken away, and I never heard anything after. They could've put her to sleep, or they could be abusing her. It kills me sometimes.

I do know how you feel, and I can say it gets easier as the days go by. Whenever something tragic in my life happens, my life tends to speed up for a bit. Example...My Dad died in January, and that was 5 Months ago. It's felt like maybe 2 weeks, and It's kind of weird at first.

Finally, I'll leave you with what one of my friends said that REALLY helped me .."When someone dies, I believe its because they had a lesson to teach. And once the lesson is taught, they pass on." (It was something like this.)

That sucks man. I've never had a dog (not really a dog person) but ive had a cat and a bunny. we put my cat down at the age of 15 just because he was suffering and we couldnt bear to see him like that. as for my bunny, less than a year after getting him he tried to clim out his cage and then he fell and broke his back.
FUCKING MAGNETS EVERYWHERE IN THIS BITCH
I had a Rottweiler (good spelling?) and he was named Alex. He was pretty good dog, he knew so many tricks, and I was 6 when I was playing with him. I remember few situations that I was holding some food and telling Alex to sit or something and my parents was like NNNNOOOOO he will bite you!!!11!! But he never biten anyone. Now i have labrador and she's very kewl dog. Luckily she's only one year old and i don't have to worry much that he will die ow.
I've never had a dog/cat, but I do know how it feels to lose a pet.

I used to go to my uncles house a lot. Since I was 8, I went there weekly, then one day my uncle bought a pet. It was a dog, I was happy. His name was Buddy. Every time I went there, I enjoyed it. I always had fun with him, he was a funny dog too, he would sit down next to people and fart.
Then two years ago, when I went for a visit, I asked my uncle where Buddy was, that's when he told me the bad news; His dog had to be put down because he had cancer. I guess my uncle didn't want it to live anymore in pain. And I haven't even seen him for months. I was really sad.

Even though he's not mine, I sure do miss him, he was a good dog.

Sorry about your pet, theblaze.
It makes me wonder..
my dog ate a 3lb block of chocolate we were going to make cake with. Darn those dogs and their reactions to chocolate. I had her for 11 years and i named her cat...

MintyFresh: My friend has had a dog for longer than I can remember and it eats chocolate on a regular basis. She's a fucking hoover and eats everything she can.

Anyway, I have a cat, and I've had it for some time now, I used to be quite rough with her, and not like her so much, but she kept showing me affection, in a weird cat way.
Like waiting for me to come down stairs in the morning, wanting me to walk her to the kitchen or she wouldn't eat, sleeping on my bed and waking me up in the mornings.

I'll sure miss her when she dies.
