If you are serious, I recommend "Too Much Coffee Man", its a cult classic, and its incredibly hilarious.

You could also go with:

Old issues of Valiant comics (although I hear they may have new stuff soon!)
DC's indy labels (Vertigo, etc...)

other smaller comics houses.

Of course, the best thing is to check your FLCS (Friendly Local Comics Store) and ask the guys that work there. If they have no clue, try another store.

Only read Squee myself but it was so fucking awesome.

I like top cow a lot. Also american comics or whatever has been publishing Allan Moore's new stuff.

Try Transmetropolitan. Great comic, absolutely hilarious and it actually has story/action.

Yeah, Transmetropolitan by Warren Ellis, look it up.

try dead.winter. i fell in love with it. its a webcomic, so google it i guess. the writer posts a new page every couple of days, so you always get new stuff.
