:o How long straight did you play? Is it worth it to buy a cooler?

how much are used 360's i want one but me no has monies

well from what i hear, the cooler for the xbox 360 actually makes it over heat more because it uses more power, thus making it over heat more.... so yea don't get one...

Your best bet is the Nyko Xbox 360 Intercooler. It plugs directly into your Xbox and uses the power already generated for the game so no extra energy is being used. It just makes your Xbox 360 a little cooler and more energy efficient.

Well Cheese, you see that little plug thingy on the back of the cooler there. Yeah... that is the power cable plug in the supplies power to the 360 AND the cooler. Seeing as the cooler does plug into the power jack on the back of your 360. Sooo... in conclusion the cooler does reduce the temp of your 360 by about 10 degrees Fahrenheit. But it also creates it's own heat from the power it draws from the 360 itself... Making it almost MORE prone to overheating rather than leaving your 360 in an open, cool, ventilated area.

I disagree. Those vents on the outside of the cooler, exert the heat away from the Xbox 360. It is a propeller more than an impeller. Making it a better ventilator than the ones that connect to a USB port and sit underneath an upright Xbox 360. I am not saying it is worth it to buy, but if you were to buy one. This is definitely the way to go.

But do you honestly think that the 360 by itself is more reliable than with a cooler. I want to see an article that states that you can actually play longer without problems without a cooler vs. having one. Plz no opinion articles.

All things that have been stated here so far have been opinion. It's all opinion unless you have hard proof stating im wrong. Every single review I have looked at for the cooler says that it is mediocre at best in the first place. And they also state, that it MIGHT help cool your 360 or MIGHT not. See the key word. Now retracting my statements in earlier posts. Neither of us have solid proof to the effectiveness of this cooler. Thus the argument is over. AND isn't this thread about Halo 3? ? ?
