So you'd say less is more? I think that the general populous of gamers looks forward to additional content in a game (Team Fortress 2, for example). I understand there is a line between content that's just fluff, flash, and flair... but I think this type of content would add an additional (beneficial) gameplay element. A user is much more inclined to play the same 5 game types if he knows there is a trophy waiting for him at the end.... stereotypically, at least.

It's discussion of a possible gameplay element, so no, not really.

Drawbacks:Official servers remain empty at certain timezones [Wushu, aikido&judo are the only ones I find filled when I log in].So it will be easier for some people than others to achieve a badge.*read farming for these too,one can do it in unsuspected way*.Maybe make some kind of check by before approving these, means more workload .
Yes, achievement farming would be an issue that would have to be addressed if it was automatically awarded.

Yes, exactly. Some would be awarded by orgs (like PT awarding trophy items), others by specific users (ie, The Terminator- Merit Badge: Defeat Hanz0 ingame and earn his favor)

This would be an sprout-off of the toriburger, bloodvodka, etc series. You can buy 'fan' items (This user is a fan of [randomcolor]) for cheap, just to show your likes and dislikes. Other items could be use for association.
Examples (not these are much more of a rough draft than the first one posted):
RuTori- This user is a RuTori, a member of the Russian toribash community!
TTM Family- This user is a member of the Toribash Texture Mob.
Bromo-Team - This user is a Bromo Team member.
[Country]- This user is from [Country]
[Color] Lover- This user is a fan of [Color] (unlimited stock)

This could be something onlt skilled & active people could get their hands on.
Also not budging on transferring these items to keep up the novelty.
Yes, there would be stackable items... for instance...
Blacksmith: User knows their way around the forge (stackable, included with flame forge booster)
Too Hot to Handle: Redeemable for 4 blacksmith badges.
Supporter: Received for buying a promo TC or Booster pack. (stackable, included in the pack, maybe more in higher promo packs)
Frequent Flyer: Redeemable for 5 Supporter badges. (stackable)
Sponsor: Redeemable for 5 Frequent Flyer badges.(stackable)
Investor: Redeemable for 4 Sponsor badges. (stackable)
Also, no budging on transfers. If it's non-transferrable, it won't be transferred.
