my GC is supposed to support shaders 2.0

All in all, we can say the 3D handling potentials in NV34 are not different from those in NV30/31. NV34 supports API DirectX 9, thus shaders 2.0 and 2.0+. There are differences of course: the GeForce FX 5200 chip does not offer IntelliSample optimization.

And you may be able to run TB 3.0 on a Geforce FX 5200, but it will not run fine. That review fails to mention a huge number of things. It says it supports the DirectX9 API. No it doesn't. It supports less than half of it. Same with shaders. They don't entirely work. Not correctly.

Why did I say it may be able to run and not that it should? Because the FX 5200 is a very weird graphics card. I have it on my old computer. That, with 1GB DDR RAM, and a 2400 single-core processor, I can't even start shaders on it.

Another person with 512 MB RAM, same kind of 2400 single-core processor and an FX 5200, can run it with shaders up to 10 fps.

It's extremely awkward, and only works for some people, even though we have the same graphics card.
Seriously, I have a FX 5200 Gc, a 2400,and still no freaking shaders. I understand that we wanted it early and this what we get but fuckin' COME ON! I was VERY dissipointed with my results for a reason, because we are impatiant. no less.

If you can't play it because you have an FX5200 or equivalent, get a new graphics card. For the moment, there's nothing you can do except that, and there probably won't be anything to do some time soon.

This is like complaining Bioshock won't run on your FX5200. Except this one is free. And that one costs a lot of money.
we are working on getting the shaders fixed.

for 3.03 I have tested with a new NVIDIA geforce 7300 LE and ATI Radeon HD 2300. Both cards needed some fixes to get working.

I just don't have the cash to buy and test with all cards available. I hope you understand that.

I will post a 3.03 beta in support later today for you to test with.

And u will never run it on this GPU , because FX5200 doesnt support OpenGL 2.0

I admit i gotta agree with u man , BUT (there is always a but) U cant possibly tell me that shaders dont need optimizing , when at the same time i have a GPU with shaders 2.0 and OpenGL 2.0 capable , and still doesnt work...i aint complaining u know , toribash is still toribash even without the new shaders , but u cant tell me to go there and buy a new graphics card that costs in my standarts a fortune , while im having a hard time even getting a job at this age ,And at the same time i got what it takes to run the shaders .and they still dont work.Lets face it ...and defending noone and i aint offending noone ,but ur point is wrong dude.

I know i aint the man to teach u what to do hampa , but ive been here too long , and i have the right to say it .... Switch to Software shaders man...i know u have to litteraly rewrite the shaders code , but that will spare u the headache u will get when working on optimizing the shaders ,since u said it all , u cant buy every GFX card to test on it , which will result in many many many fixes....other than that great job , i wanna kill myself when i watch screenies with shaders
