Anyway sports is something that keeps ppl entertained.
Some sports even takes years of training to even get good at it like 100m sprinting or kickboxing.
Plus there are more doctors in the world than sports people.
Where is the governent going to get all that money to pay doctors MILLIONS yur crazy
Anyway if sports ppl get paid the same ammountas doctor or w/e who would play sport?

Plus you're also saying that actors should get paid the same ammount as everyone else
Wrong. It takes years of practice to get good at acting(the same for sport) it's hard acting it's hard playing sport ppl love the entertainment
It's a skill that's hard to achieve
I'd like to see yu on the soccer or rugby field getting tackled or scoring for yur counntry try doing that.

this is possibly the most stupid post i have seen, are you saying that its harder to hit a ball with a stick or kick a ball through a goal then it is to be a doctor?
yeah, some sports do take afew years of training but then, you have to spend ahell lot more time to become a doctor.
so maybe its hard playing a sport, but that just sounds spoiled, do you think its easy to be a doctor?

a side note, who would you rather be stranded on an island with, a boat full of doctors, or a soccer team?

Actually Pika your wrong, a doctor is probably the one career that greatly helps the advancement of humanity that gets paid more than an entertainer. But you have the right idea and if you think about it actors and singers also make a lot of money. Seriously, I could make an endless list of rich actors, singers, and athletes but I can only name a few rich intellectuals. I think the people who suffer the most from this are teachers. Everyone one has teachers. They raise up our greatest minds. But everyone is aware of how little they are paid. Even teachers for Ivy leagues are underpaid and they greatly change the world.
the goverment doesn't mind paying them this money D:<
plus not even the star soccer players get paid millions they only get paid around $200,000 for a whole season
i was reading this magazine when i was in year 7
and Ronaldo (the best soccer player in the world) he only gets paid $200,000
stop exaggerating and saying sport stars are getting paid millions
AND star players are an inspiration to little kids who play the same sport
you're just over exaggerating when you say MILLIONS
lol.
yes it is harder being a doctor but there is only one winner in a sport and a runner up
"There are more doctors in the world. They only choose the star players to get paid alot. Probably the newbies in a soccer team only get paid $50,000 aus or even less"
just like footside said doctors are probably the only ones that helps

That's soccer. Now tell me are you sure that was dollars not pounds or euros because there is a major difference. Look up how much A-Rod gets paid. Since you probably won't I will tell you. $22,708,525! Do you know how many years a good doctor or engineer would probably have to work to get that much. He makes it in a year.
Holy Jesus ._.
Well erm
thats the Goverments choice they do what they feel like
maybe he's so good
i did search him up he palys Baseball amirite?
that's just one person ;o

i see, your saying that its a better idea to encourage children to want to grow up and play a game, rather then grow up and save peoples lives/keep the american society from getting any more stupid.

and also, it may be true that soccer players only get payed $200,000
a season (which is more then most people make in a year) but most sports, say baseball, football ect do get payed millions.

EDIT: damnit, you guys went on talking while i was still writing : /.

ok, time to make fun of you again,

$22,708,525 is an extremly stupid amount to pay anybody for anything, i mean, is a-rod curing cancer out there, playing baseball?
also, im pretty sure its not the goverments decision to pay him that much.

Like Oddy said, it's the nature of the business.

Just because a doctor is 'more important' than a football player doesn't mean squat. That's not how salary works in this country. Your salary is determined by many things, but mainly supply and demand. People will pay money often and in large amounts for a football game, plus money made from adverts. And to add to that, the amount of NFL players is so small that they can divide the revenue among a smaller amount of people, which means more for each person.

I'm not angry about it, and neither should anyone else be. It's economics.

im not as much complaining, as i am questioning how you could even attempt to justify it.

EDIT: you post editer you XD.

now then, a team is owned usually by advertisers and other rich people who can afford it.
not the goverment.

A-Rod should not get paid that much it's sick. If that much was donated to a good cause we might make a major breakthrough in medicine or technology. Sports is important but this is unhealthy. And A-Rod is only one of about 100 athletes worldwide who are valued so highly that they are paid this much (e.g. David Ortiz, Tom Brady, Roger Federer, Tiger Woods, and many more.
