Typhoon Ondoy
Quite a surprise, on the name, haha. Well, my first experience of a typhoon that makes flood currents so strong that it can flood an entire house. Believe me, hundreds of people died since they've been being pushed by the massive current of the water that it can surely kill you. And over 400,000 people have been separated from their families. It's been flooding houses, even the houses with 2 floors. Some of my neighbors are being forced to go up to the roof of their house, 'cause if otherwise, they'd be sitting ducks, eventually, they'll drown, and obviously, die.
The flood, however, has flooded my house. The flood has reached up to my hips as I walk down. My new white sneakers have turned brown, looked like mud shit. The entire first floor has been ransacked. Which means all of our stuff down there, have been all obviously wet. So right now I'm in the third floor, in our own 'music room'. Ironic, we have a computer in the music room.
So this week, the NDCC (National Disaster Coordinating Council) officials declared suspension of classes, as well as work. I'm actually feeling sad that all those people who have been lost and separated are now homeless.
But, on the bright side, my family and I are in once piece. It's just that we need to find a way to replace our stuff that were on the first floor.
What a merciful experience. I was speechless when I saw the flood current gushing in my front door. *sigh*
