I hate how Christmas come so early. It takes all the magic, and everyone just wait for them to end so those annoying commercials will end.

By the time Christmas comes around I'm extremely sick of the lights, decorations, and all the Christmas specials and Christmas related commercials on TV

Christmas wasn't originally a Christian holiday...

There is no joy for the less fortunate kids, and in some countries Christmas isn't even "celebrated". No presents, no family gatherings, just an excuse to clean out the stores.

MORALITY: A traditional code of decency that went out the window about the same time as belief in eternal damnation.
I usually just use christmas as a chance to catch up with uncles and aunts Ive never heard of, eat delicious hot cross buns and laugh at the NH people in the snow while I go for a swim in the beach!

Well, I don't approve of Christians celebrating Christmas. Considering it is basically a hijacked pagan festival. I don't see Christmas as religious at all, at least not for me. I am a very strong atheist and I love Christmas and pretty much everything about it but I don't consider it wrong for me to celebrate Christmas because I don't believe in Jesus or any Gods.
On the topic of Christians vs. non-Christians celebrating Christmas: Like Thanatos is saying, it were originally a pagan festivity. The catholics actually "moved" the birth of Jesus to around that time as it would simplify integration and celebrations.

Personally, I celebrate Christmas as more of a cozy tradition, rather than of religious devotion. One doesn't need divine motifs in connection with every holiday. Thanksgiving is not religious. Halloween is based more around superstition than religion.

Same for me. Presents is, as said, just a bonus. And I do enjoy the food and the gathering of the family.

You don't approve of Christians celebrating Christmas? I know that it wasn't originally our holiday but still it's kind of our thing. What people are not understanding though is that I am not saying Non-Christians can't celebrate Christmas. What I'm pointing out is that their our people like Thanatos. People who want to celebrate Christmas (which is fine by me) but don't approve of Christians celebrating (which is not fine by me).

And I actually do approve of Christians celebrating Christmas. You were the one who brought up non-Christians celebrating first. I simply pointed out that Christians hijacked a pagan festival and it was a bit hypocritical of you to start on non-Christians when originally it was a non-Christian festival. Your original post clearly states that you feel it should be a Christian only festival.

Try reviewing your posts. Yes, I am aware that I contradicted myself. I had a change of mind. My more recent post is the one I approve.

It would help if you mention whenever you change your mind.
