Spam threads are against the rules of the forum, and seeing as clan boards are part of this forum, they're against the rules here also. Posting just to get your postcount up is bullshit, and I've deleted the most obvious spam threads.

You may notice that your postcounts have gone down because of this. This is intentional.

If any one of you makes another spam thread, you'll be banned for a week, just as TomPaine has been.
EDIT: TomPaine's ban has been lifted by KiTFoX. I'll admit blindsiding him with a week was a little harsh. However, now that you've all been warned, expect no mercy should you choose to ignore this.

If any of the clan moderators think that they're clever, and undelete any of the three spam threads, I'll ban you, and see about having your moderation powers over this board removed.

Well I'm not usually one to say I told you so... but....
I'll even quote myself if needs be lol. :P

I have a couple questions:

1) why did you delete our offtopic thread? It's for general discussion... If you read through there you will see that we try to keep it spam free... Is it against any rule to have a general discussion thread? We got the idea from the GATA board where they have one.

2) Why no warning? a general pm would've been adequate. I would've complied just fine.

3) Even our rumors thread was removed. It is understandable I guess but...

ok deleting the spam specifically called the spam thread I understand, the rumor and offtopic thread being deleted I don't get. I've seen a rumor thread in wibbles and that is also part of the forums so why can it be in wibbles and not here?(http://forum.toribash.com/showthread...ighlight=rumor heres the link if you want it) and the offtopic thread was for offtopic discussion, not spam but it may have happened occasionally it was normally stopped. I'm not in any way trying to piss you off with this I'm just trying to understand why those 2 threads would be deleted

As for the rumors thread, well, the [spam] tags certainly don't help it any.

Wibbles is the one place on the forums where spam threads are allowed. Posts aren't counted there, meaning they don't affect a user's postcount at all. It's a place for all the spam threads to go so that we don't have a pile of them in every other section of the forums.

If you really want the rumors and spam thread back, I can move them into wibbles for you, and reopen them, but they don't belong here, and you won't be credited for those posts anyways.

Alright I did not know wibbles didn't give post counts, and although I like those two threads I personally don't think its worth re-posting them in wibbles when a rumor threads already in wibbles and the spam well wibbles pretty much is that entire thread so again no need. Thanks for answering my questions though, I appreciate it.
