The splatter brushes are absolutely awful. They don't fit at all, but decent drawing of mulan, I don't see why you redrawing her would do something for your girlfriend.

You sir, know little about women. They appreciate gifts of time, and that can include a sacrifice of time. So drawing/redrawing something for her in your own way can show her that you are willing to take time to think of her. Most girls LOVE that.


Anyway, very nice re-draw.

About the brush "spam"... I don't think it's so bad. It's a might bit excessive at the moment, and I think your style needs a tweak.

Maybe if it was done with more of a japanese/chinese brush text style (more brush, less spatter) it would feel more cohesive... check these out.
