This sig lacks creativity.

True Story.
pick a block colour and a light direction. The light on that little guy is coming from the top right so I put a light green on edges that face towards the topright and a dark green on edges that face the bottom left. Ya Dig?

Right click that badboy and "viewimage" then hold ctrl and scroll to scale him up, you can see the shading better.

Plain and simple :P

Also since jc explained already the thing you wanted to know, and your ignorant to MS Paint like almost everyone i know... Then if theres a color you don't want thats in many places then select it as your secondary color. Then using the select option cut out what you drew, and then use as a primary color the color you want to replace it with, fill the spot thats of the color of the secondary one. Then paste it over that spot and magically the color changed! :O WOW! Again this is if your ignorant to one of the most simple programs used in todays world...

I´m not talking about shading. I´m talking about highlighting... those "almost" white spots where the light hits.

Thx roz! <_<

Highlighting is a part of shading though. Oo Shading is deciding how the light falls on the object or objects your drawing.
If you don't grasp that then you are not worthy to wield the force... lol
