I'm not sure what's best for the ultimate server.

Like Huck said it's about reversing your opponent's attack and using their energy against them, but that is a part of aikidobigdojo as well.

With a big dojo people can focus on damaging too and not just on throwing them to the floor. It brings a different dinamic to the match. Besides the black belt server has the regular aikido version.

Though I don't know if damaging the opponent should be a goal on a defensive martial art.
We're still kids in buses longing to be free.
i like agree something to oblivion. how could you revers oponent attack if no one attack!? all players focus just in dq. so there is no attack!.
try start an aikido figth all hold and see how easy it will be dq other guy.

harder to win?
because its easy to shovel players out of the dojo
the dq is much more harder to happen
so you have to play more cautely and counter every move
use opponent mistakes against him
its much more harder
but bigger dojo makes it easier not to dq too, i couldnt count how often my toes dq'd me.
i vote for small dojo.
and shovelling or going uke should stay out of this discussion, its ultimate::aikido. ;)

I like big dojo because it's fun to shoot for DMs. The smaller the dojo, the less chances I've got. I can see why people would prefer a small one, but if you're taking somebody down they'd land on their head and DQ even inside the dojo. So I don't know, it just seems like potentially longer games are more interesting. It's an opinion thing.

i saw too many votes for small from ppl who dont used to play ultimate aikido :/

chuji: if it is easy not dq. thats mean its hardest force the other guy dq. wich is the point. i prefer. make a good move than the other guy make a bad move...

I prefer BigDojo because there it is not all about pushing your enemies out. You can make more advanced moves and there are still the gravity and dm settings of normal Aikido.tbm
Don't take me serious. If you feel offended... I'm just kidding.
