Thanks for the advice guys, I think I will go to best buy, just to see if I need a 240hz I'm pretty sure my eyes aren't sensitive to the flicker and why waste money on what we don't need, ya know...

Before buying the tv, is it good to go and look at it in an actual store? Because I've heard that some tvs can suck just because the specs are good, doesnt mean it looks good...
Usually a good idea to demo it. But be aware that best buy might adjust the picture on their more profitable tvs to look better in store lighting an leave the lower profit margin ones on default. So it is also a good idea to read honest reviews online.

Oh and stay away from any hdmi cables over 10 bucks. Especially the $100 monster ones. My mom fell for it when she bought a new tv. Didn't matter too much since we had cashback gift cards to blow but still. Watch out for marketing speak.

I really don't trust best buy's customer service.

When my dad went to best buy they had a little tent thing over the tvs, to keep it dim enough to look good perhaps? Idk... Thanks for the help DarkJak.
i got a sexy ass 1080p 36 inch panasonic for $350 :V but if u have the money, get a samsung, and do wut darkjak did, buy online.
I have a 54' inch 1080HD, HDMI, and maybe P and it works just fine, the color and what not
is the best i have ever seen in a tv. I have gone thru several. so i'd go with
Panasonic if I were you.
