Something that bugs me about Steam
Games that have too many achievements for their length.

Here are some good examples; Shank, takes about 2 hours to beat, has 12 achievements. This is a good ratio.

Meh example; L4D2, has 61 achievements, each campaign takes about 45 minutes. However the extra achievements can be justified because it has high re-playability due to multi-player.

Bad example; Galcon Fusion, has 135 achievements. Now that is just silly

Horrible example; Team Fortress 2. Ok I understand that people play this game religiously, but it has 368 achievements.

I wish they would limit the number of achievements per game >_>

No one's forcing you to get them, though.

bro if you love your achievements like i do on 360 ive got 150,000 gaming points you wouldnt really care about how many points there is. you'ld just get them
Achievements are a way of showing that you have conquered a game. Having 300 achievements doesn't make a game difficult, it makes a game long.

Another thing, when you select a game from your game list it shows the news about the game, instead of a description. That bugs me.

Yeah, it's a bit silly with too many achievements, but honestly, it's no big deal. Unless you're compulsed to get them all, in which case i understand your exasperation. Me? I go for achievements, obviously, but i don't care about the ridiculous ones. Things like "beat the game on ultra extreme monkey difficulty without getting hit once" are both insane and inane. Mostly i just want to have a fun time playing. Getting achievements in doing so is just an added bonus.

But you know what bugs me the most about Steam? The total inability to play LAN with YOUR OWN DAMN BROTHER IN THE SAME HOUSE AND ROOM without buying two copies of any given game. The only game i've seen in Steam that outright doesn't do this is Borderlands. A few other games have workarounds (that don't require the breaking of multiple laws), but in general, if it's Steam, forget about LAN. Unless you're either willing to buy multiple copies or are blessed with friends who already own the game. Worst is it when you buy a CD in a store, then to your horror, "HAY GUYS I AM A STEAM GAME." Bleh. Why buy a CD when it just jumps into Steam anyways?

various places to find me lol
I have the opposite problem some times. I buy a game in store assuming that it will link to steam, but it doesn't D:<

I like to have the boxes, but I like to play on steam...

Some games I own twice now, like DW2 and Morrowind and Oblivion and BS2,1, wow actually a lot more ._.
