Zeke has given a good example, but since I assume you'd like a real world example, I'd say money. A $50 bill has value, that is obvious, but it does not have meaning. You can even prioritize it over, say a $20 bill. I would say the same goes with actions, the system I have adopted is Utilitarianism, so creating pleasure would have a higher priority than other things, but this does not give life or pleasure an objective "meaning".

The money example was a great example and I agree entirely. And to add, It may not give objective meaning, but i think it does give subjective meaning and an existentialist might say that subjective meaning is enough, however a nihilist believes the opposite. I personally lean towards existentialism though, I'm simply playing the devils advocate.
Every saint has a past, every sinner has a future.
I would still say that value and meaning are separate. Any meaning created is solely from a subjective point of view, which to me changes the word each time it is used, thereby eliminating any true sense of meaning.

It seems we have very close views, only differing from existentialism to nihilism, the rest looks to be on the same page.

Cogito ergo sum. I think therefor I exist.

I know it's true because it says so right here in this signature.
its also just a meaning:

it totally denies everything christian do i see that right? but weve allready got the same conflict in sience and against church...
its just another opinion....
my view on it is like:

Nihilism is just a matter of perception, just like Christianity and other idologies;
its a matter of Epistemology (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Theory_of_knowledge)
Why do we know that we have a reason? why do we live? adn thsu; Who created us?
Some seek understanding while others dont, id say that true Nihilism is not being some sort of depresed person, but someone that has come to accept that they dont know these answers and never will, and therefore dont question their decisions as they believe that moral is just another stupid ideology (which i agree with) and instead use their current knowlage, their situation and the cirrcumstances to decide upon what to do, instead of using morale; a stupid codex of reasons and actions and what the society has come to accept.

Back to topic; Does god exist? Well, without evidence there is no truth, and give me one evidence that god does exist. (using the metaphor addjusted to persumption of innocence (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Presumption_of_innocence)) which we usualy build "truth" upon in our world.
