well korvin, you are not average tb player/member. you dont care about tc/items anymore as any average player/member does.

okay here is another point. people joining tourneys to earn some tc / items. let em earn it, by playing normal mods, instead of forcing em to play something "more fun". Im pretty sure that when you wanna earn some tc on tourneys thats quite annoying to play some random mod.

I mean, why not? Or, why not for higher belts, too? I hope you're not saying that if you're high belt you shouldn't be playing "stupid" and "childish" mods.
And not all mods are just no-skill stuff. There are mods that require skill, believe it or not.
Plus, someone could make arena mods with several objects lying around that you can use to beat up your opponent.
Or you could use sparring mods for tournaments, you just gotta remember that you'll have less of a chance to win if you try to fight like in real life.

I don't know if it's true that most people enjoy normal knockout tournaments more than other kinds of tournaments, but even if that's the case, you shouldn't really ignore those people that prefer different tournaments.

Even though there would be tournaments with mods, it would be pretty stupid to suddenly stop hosting normal tournaments.
And nobody is forcing you to go to the "more fun" tournaments.
And again, not all mods are utterly random. Please don't generalize.

ahh my reasons are same as before, gm tourneys give an opportunity to earn tc/items thats why ppl joining em. and im still sure that most ppl who came to earn some tc/items will be glad to play normal mods, what is normal, instead of fun mods.

i cant say that arena mods are *random* and most of arena mods are playable and fun, for example (sorry don't remember a mod name, but ill try to describe) mod with a 4 short walls around and colomns.. ahh ill edit this and will add a mod name.. anyway that was nice to play there with wushu settings, cb of walls etc.
tho im sceptic about part with objects which u can use to beat opponent...

ah well i remember some spar tourneys from the time of running league etc...
i guess thats a bad idea, because spars are about realism/show off, not win or loose.. or mb im wrong im not that *pro spar player* etc i mean sparring matches should be judged in different criteria then normal matches, such as realism style etc, thats why i prefer events form for sparring competitions. sign up replay, the best one gets the prize.

but still would you agree that major ammount of GM tourneys should be in a normal mods?
