Less time on computer -> very sporty ?

I don't understand your logic there.

I play as much sport as anyone I know, yet I spend way more time on the computer than they do. The more common trade-off is computer for tv.
If someone uses the computer less, they probably use the TV more.

Besides that, your comment doesn't actually add anything to the conversation.
How does this affect your freedom? Do your parents only allow you 1.5 hours?

depends on how the ppl choose to use this for its own benefit.

(btw im 14 and im way more smarter than my 30 years old mom,i can do most of the things she wasnt able to do in her childhood, like, chat about politics, economy, science,i learnead to speak english alone.i just need to parctice more grammar ^^)

Like Gorman said, if they're not online, they're probably watching TV.
Better to be on the internet than watching TV.
Did you know you use less of your brain while watching TV that you do sleeping?

At least online you partake is some form of social activity, and as has been said before many times, the amount of information online is practically endless.
I'd much rather my kid was online than sat in front of a TV watching endless episodes of Scooby Doo, thanks.
I'd also prefer my kids to indoors depending on where I live. If we grew up in a rough area, who knows who they might socialize with when they're out the house? The internet is a lot safer than some parts of the world where kids may grow up in.

Internet is amazing. Surely it's the childs responsibility to decide if to meet people on the internet. If I had a child, I wouldn't give a fuck. I'd just say, just be careful or learn the consequences. Just be aware. That's it.

well, you can get a lot of that almost everywhere. u can find a porno cd in almost every household, school has a crapton of violence and stuff against the law. you can steal anywhere as well as on the internet. t all depends on how you want to live everything, that shows how well you can handle the net.
i'm addicted to the internet, i spend all day on it(7 am till 5am). i find it difficult to quit. parents block sites to prevent children from entering them, but still, parents seldom check what their children are doing on the internet. the internet has alot of things in it. once children start playing games, especially violent ones, they will start to crave for it. even if their parents took away their computers, children will try and "steal" them back just to feed their addiction and they dont care if they get scolded or not and some are pretty stealthy as they would put back their computers(as fast as they can) as their parents came back home from work and honestly, i've done that before......
