My history teacher told me a story.
About 30 years ago, they had sort of like an apple dispenser, you stick a quarter in, you get an apple.
They added some sort of chemical, so the apples get some sort of shine added to them.
Eventually, a study was released on the 60 minute show where that chemical is said to give cancer.
4-5 months after that study was released, another study was released that said you had to eat a bathtub full of apples a day for 50 years to get cancer.
Another similar situation is people saying popcorn can give cancer.
You'd have to eat 10 (I think it was 10 at least) bags of popcorn a day for 50 years to get cancer.
The moral of these stories? It'll probably take some ridiculous amount of the food to give you any slight resemblance of cancer, and it's just another random paranoia, because face it, we love bad news more than we love good news.
